Livindi helps seniors live independently, stay healthy and avoid the severe health impacts caused by social isolation. Click here to watch a brief video showing Livindi in action (https://vimeo.com/355126967/87d7c1dc69).
Livindi is for seniors who need help being independent because of cognitive impairments, mobility and motor impairments or other age-related issues. It is for the 34 million caregivers in the United States who care for a senior family member and find themselves stressed balancing their lives, their work, their children along with the commitments of caregiving.
Livindi is a platform comprised of Machine Learning, a 10-inch tablet, an app, IoT sensors, an mPERS and live concierge service. Seniors and their caregivers can easily have video calls through the tablet, which also serves a digital picture frame allowing the senior to see shared photos and videos. Sensors monitor motion, eating and bathroom patterns, activity, temperature, light and humidity. Artificial intelligence uses the sensor information to alert caregivers of any issues automatically. For example, Livindi can detect a fall may have occurred without requiring the senior to wear a wearable. The LivindiCare concierge service provides seniors and their caregivers help with medication, transportation, daily check-ins or food delivery.
I was motivated to create Livindi after watching my mother and father take care of my grandparents. One grandparent was in an assisted living facility and the other lived with my parents, in both cases it was stressful and challenging for my parents. When someone wasn't with grandma, there was no way of knowing if she was ok, if she was active, if she had fallen down or had other problems. Livindi could have solved that problem and helped us know grandma was ok even when she was far away. It also could have helped my parents get services when they had other family or work commitments to attend to and did not have the time to take care of medications or the food needs for my grandparents.
