ISS (International Space Station) orbits the earth like the moon do, it will be really fun to know when it passes over your house. This project will help you develop a system that will notify you whenever ISS passes over you.
This project is basically divided in two sections :
1. Setting up BOLT wifi module
2. IFTT settings
so let's get started with our first step:
Open you BOLT cloud dashboard by opening www.cloud.boltiot.com, your page will appear like this. Click on API option in left menu.
After clicking on API option your page will appear like this,
In the generate key option select enable, either you can use you old API key or generate a new one by clicking GENERATE NEW API KEY.
To test if you can remotely control your device's pin, build the following URL using your API Key and Device ID (Code is given in code section).
Now let us look at the hardware setup which you will be required for this project.
1. Connect resistor to short leg of LED
2. Put other end of resistor in GND.
3. Put long leg of LED in 0.
your setup will look like this:
Go to https://ifttt.com/create and click on + icon.
After that chose the service as Space.
Chose trigger as "ISS passes over a specific location"
Mark your location on the map
Now again chose + option to chose a service
Select action service as webhooks
Chose action as "Make a web request"
put URL that you have generated in the code and select GET Method and application/json as Content Type.
REview your details and click finish.
Done. Now whenever the ISS will pass over you the LED will start blinking on your BOLT WI-FI module.
