Software apps and online services

Visual Studio 2015
Microsoft Visual Studio 2015
Netduino can not simply be coded with Visual Studio 2017. Therefore, you must have 2015 for programming the microcontroller.
Wilderness Labs Maple - server/client
Maple is an ultra-lightweight RESTful web server built specifically for network enabled Netduino devices. It's fully .NET MicroFramework 4.3 compatible, provides an easy to extend architecture, and has native JSON support.
Microsoft Visual Studio 2017
The newer version of Visual Studio includes templates that will rapid-start your project. In this case Xamarin Android template was used.
Xamarin
Xamarin
Single shared codebase for developing Android, iOS, and Windows using .NET. This is for the client (phone) app. This code only uses the Android part.
