The next era of Smart Agriculture can be definitely based on Internet of Things (IoT). Internet of Things (IoT) in recent times is playing a crucial role of developing systems and applications to solve real life problems in each and every aspect of life.
Smart Farming System is a mixture of hardware and software additives. The hardware part includes embedded systems and software program is developed using the Arduino ide.The sensors used are temperature and humidity sensor, pir sensor and soil moisture sensor. The facts gathered with the aid of the sensors is sent to the Arduino UNO.The gathered information may be displayed in a Arduino IDE. A GSM module is hooked up with the Arduino to facilitate messaging service which updates the farmer present climatic conditions of the subject.

The system aslo has a PIR sensor .An led or Buzzer can be attached with PIR sensor so that the hindrance can be detected easily. It will help the farmer to know if any animal has broken into field and is destroying crops. In this way the farmer can save his crops . PIR sensor is used in burglar system also to detect if thieves have entered into an infrastructure. The sensor module which i used is not so powerful and accurate but well! it's a start. Looking for more accurate module or sensor to increase efficiency and accuracy . Also i'm looking forward to add an automated water pumping system.
