Arduino Based Mood-light
This is a simple and cool mood-light project with IR remote controller that I've made starting from a salvaged lens out of a scan bed of an old HP scanner.
This lens is capable to redirect a punctiform light source uniformly along a wide surface. From here the idea is to couple it to an Adafruit Neopixel LED to obtain a colorful 20cm long light source. Then I designed a 3D printed enclosure to support the lens and to accommodate the LED, the microprocessor and the IR receiver.
For the initial test I used an Arduino Nano which is way more than enough for this project. The final version will probably use Attiny85.
